Diploma in Islamic Banking is aimed to equip students with knowledge and principles used in Islamic Banking. This course provides an understanding of the differences between conventional banking and Islamic Banking and how they operate in the banking industry. Students are not required to have any previous knowledge in banking but must have passed SPM with a minimum of 3 credits including Mathematics. Through this course, students will be able to identify various products and services offered by Islamic Banks such as takaful. Students will be exposed to real life situations during the practical training provided during semester 7. Graduates will be able to further studies in Bachelor in Islamic Banking or equivalent and seek employment in the finance industry as a banker, personal financial consultant, takaful consultant, officer in Islamic financial institutions, regulatory agencies and in mualamat consultancy involving wills, investment and zakat.
